The impact of strength training and movement can't be overstated. We all need to move for a better, more optimal quality of life.

When looking at the 60+ population, it's that much more important to take our health seriously and do the absolute most(in a safe manner).

Strength training has been shown to improve muscle mass, bone density, mental health, balance, stability, reduction of falls, and INDEPENDENCE.
And that's just a few...

So, get up out yo seat and move yo feet if you can. If you can't, there are numerous modifications that we can provide.

Over 3 years later of consistency with Sebastian.

Besides the fact that he's shot up in height, he can now do full pushups, jump higher, and he's stronger in just about every lift.

Long gone are the days when they said it will stunt your growth, or youth shouldn't work out. If you instuct and program safely, you're good to go.

To repeat, exercise( we love strength training) should be done by everyone.

When working with young people, we make sure to focus on what they like(peep the smiles) while making things challenging. That's how we see progress.

The energy in the room was electric and felt like they actually liked each other.🤣

1. Strength training can improve your overall quality of life. Majority(if not all) clients who I've worked with have commented on how they've noticed differences in their everyday lives.

2. When looking to make changes once you start training, nutrition is always first, exercise is second, and supplementation(if needed) is third.

3. Strength training is as mentally taxing as it is physical.

4. It takes longer to build muscle than it does to lose weight. Tell them to go play in somebody else's face if they tell you different.

5. On that note, muscle building is a long slow process of progressing weights, variations of exercises, reps/sets, and tapping into that resilient person in you.

6. A healthy blend of cardio and strength training bodes the best results. This has been researched. You should all believe that then, right?

7. People will comment on your appearance when training. You choose how you want to respond.

8. Don't believe everything you see on social media. People have perfected looking perfect.

9. Commit to being healthier. There is always something we can do to improve an aspect of our lives.

10. Go lift some weights. It could be 5 or 10 minutes. It could be 1-3 times a week. It could be whatever you have time for. Make it non-negotaible and add it to your calendar. Once you see how you feel you'll probably want more. 💪🏿
