Instead of competing against your fellow athletes (yes you read that right, you are an athlete), cheer each other on and build community. This is an opportunity to celebrate movement, test your limits, and build confidence and independence in everyday life.

Invite your friends and family and show them what you are capable of.

Here's Abby(started in 2015) performing an agonistic(works same muscles) superset. Again, we don't do them all the time because they fatigue the muscles like 🔥.

They're great for stressing the muscle and burning out(if you're into that type of thing). We lower the load, do a few sets, and keep it moving.

Variety is key when it comes to training. We stick to the same movement patterns, switch up the rep ranges, adjust the weight accordingly, and add balance etc to the exercise.

The idea that doing high reps with weights that are too easy or lifting without intention will get you great results is a myth.

No matter how many reps you're aiming for, your sets should be challenging. A good rule of thumb? Finish each set with only 1-2 reps left in the tank.

That's where adaptation happens. That's where strength is built. That's where progress is made. You have to stimulate those muscles, ya'll.

Sure, there are times when lighter, easier work has its place, but if your goal is growth, strength, and long term results, you can't live there.

Check out our client during the first set of a paused bench press:

✅ 3-second lowering phase
✅ 5-second pause on the chest
✅ Explode the weight back up
✅ 3 sets of 5 reps

This is what a challenging rep looks like. Then we do 3 sets of 5, just like this. And before you ask, yes you absolutely can do this.

It may sound complicated, but with the right coaching, it's simple to learn and incredibly effective.

Rounding out the month of March 😅💪🏿

We've navigated a lot this year, because it feels like more than a few months.

A few reminders:
•Skinny doesn't equate to healthy and shouldn't be the standard. You decide your standards.
• If strength training isn't for you, figure out what you like, how it benefits you, and stick with it. Bonus for consistency.
• Bodies aren't meant to be seasonal so if you're working hard just for a summer body, congrats, but also think long term and sustainability.
• It starts with sleep, nutrition, and a positive mindset. It's supposed to challenge you but the benefits far outweigh anything else.
• Just start. Find a safe space. Grab a workout partner if needed. Be safe. Have fun. 💪🏿

They were told it wasn’t feminine.
That lifting heavy would make them “bulky.”
That it wasn’t sexy or appropriate to lift more than 5–10 pounds. Liesssss.
In some cases, even doctors pushed these narratives.
It wasn’t until Title IX and other pivotal moments in history that women began gaining equal access to sports and strength training spaces.
Now look where we are.

Women are showing up consistently.
Training hard.
Breaking records.
Dominating powerlifting and bodybuilding stages.
And being a powerful force in the fitness industry.
This is what makes all of this so dope, empowering, and amazing.
At 57Fit, people used to ask why our women lift heavy.
Others were amazed watching them flip tires or deadlift over 300 pounds.
But the answer is simple:
Strength is strength.
Women are strong. Women are capable. Women are powerful.

The bulgarian split squat is hated but loved by many. It already requires a good amount of stability at the hips, core, ankles, and knees.

To add the the FUN we included a deficit making the movement harder by increasing the range of motion.

This is how we progress and grow.

Try it out on a surface that's around knee height. Once you have that down, add weight, add a deficit, but do it safely.
