The name 57FIT comes from his mother, Patricia Watson. She was born in 1957 and raised him and his 2 brothers on her own. Marcus always wanted to make her proud and continue to be a strong man despite the adversity he faced growing up. He began working out in high school as a means to become physically stronger and healthier.
FIT describes the overall state of being healthy and happy. Marcus believes people can achieve this through exercise, laughter, love, health, and overall well-being.
He is passionate about optimizing human performance and devotes his energy to learn more. He can be found researching the latest trends, and working hands-on with a wide array of clients. His previous clients range from youth athletes to the general population looking to become healthier.
His coaching experience started at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he earned his Bachelor’s of Physical Education. After undergrad, he completed his Master of Educational Leadership at St. Mary’s in Minneapolis, MN while enhancing the lives of his clients at LA Fitness and other small training gyms.
Marcus is a National Federation of Personal Trainers (NFPT) certified personal trainer and fitness nutritional coach through NESTA.
In his personal life, Marcus is a proud new father and motivated to eliminate childhood obesity and the sedentary lifestyles individuals lead. He believes exercise is the best form of preventative care.
He believes in empowering people and giving them the knowledge to feel confident in their everyday lives inside and outside if the gym.
